Hey y'all! Thanks for visiting my music website. I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me and my music a bit, especially if I'm a new name, face, and voice.
I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist originally from Danville, Indiana (small town 20 miles West of Indianapolis), but currently reside in Columbus, Ohio. I'm a father, fitness design consultant, and a musician. My son is my biggest inspiration for all that I do.
I perform songs in many different genres and eras, and I have a very diverse skillset as a singer/performer. My original songs are rooted in folk and country. I've been known to perform songs live that I've never attempted before (upon request), as well as add in some freestyle and unique medleys that entertains audiences of all ages.
My original music combines my many life experiences, relationships, dreams, and optimism. I take a lot of pride in bringing positivity and enthusiasm to every live performance, as well as an engaging and energetic personality that I believe makes me unique as a performer and entertainer.
I began learning to play guitar (and ukelele) when I was in college by looking up chords and tablature online. I'm 100% self-taught (instruments and vocals), and the majority of my time practicing in the early days took place on my grandparents front porch in my hometown. After only 6 months, I performed at my first private party, which was also in my hometown. It was quite nerve-wracking, but it gave me the confidence to keep going and make music a bigger part of my life. I've had so much support from friends and family since day one, which has continued to inspire me.
Over the years, I've performed at venues around the country (bars, clubs, lounges, breweries, wineries, and festivals), as well as many private events (weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, holiday parties, graduation parties, yoga classes, and more). I've been volunteering with Musicians On Call since the Fall of 2019, and it brings me so much joy and gratitude to perform live for the patients (children and their families) at the hospital. It's a great honor and privilege. I know that for 30-45 minutes, when I'm performing there, my music is taking their minds off of the difficult thoughts that are likely consuming their days. Music has the power to heal.
Beginning March 19, 2020, a few days after the pandemic hit, I made one of the best decisions of my life.... I started hosting Live streams on Facebook and Instagram on Thursday nights. What started as something I just wanted to do to pass the time and entertain people for a bit turned in to something much bigger and more impactful than I could have imagined. Thursday nights were coined "Essential Thursdays" by my friends, family, and supporters, and I can't put into words what "Essential Thursdays" meant to me. I can say that those Thursday nights inspired me more than I've ever been inspired before with music, and I'll forever remember how it changed me as a musician, performer, and entertainer.
Because of the generosity of so many from March 2020 to Oct 2020, I was able to fund the recording and mastering of my debut EP "Brand New". My first single "Life Right Now" was released on Nov 18th, 2021, and the full EP was released a few days later on Nov 21st. My favorite song on the EP, and the one that will ALWAYS be my favorite original song that I'll write is "Dear Boy". I wrote it about my son.... my best friend.
The majority of my bookings today are private events and weddings, but I am available to perform as an opening act for public shows and festivals, or as a weeknight or weekend cover musician... and I will travel anywhere. I've performed over 300 shows in 12 states, and I thrive when I'm in front of people on a stage. I can customize a setlist for any occasion (or venue), and I put a lot of time and effort in advance of each performance to make sure I deliver the best experience for everyone in attendance.
There is not enough time, nor enough words, to express the gratitude I have for all of the people that are supportive of me and my music, as well as enthusiastic about my journey as a musician, but I can say that it's what keeps me going down this path. I've never put pressure on music and where it takes me, but I will never stop playing music. My big, huge life dream is to perform in front of thousands of people singing along to one (or more) of my original songs.
